Registration in the system

What are the requirements to register?

On the scheduled day, you must bring the following documentation:

  • Original identification document.
  • Cell phone to receive SMS and email.
  • Proof of residence in your name or with the same address that appears on your identity document. Remember that the document must be no more than 2 months old. The address must be within Argentina. Or proof of address, issued by the Federal Police.

For minors aged 16 to 18, PRESENTIAL REGISTRATION ONLY
They must appear on the day of duty accompanied by their guardian (parent, guardian or legal representative) with the following documentation:

  • Birth certificate of the minor or documentation proving the relationship.
  • Original identification document issued by the Argentine Ministry of the Interior (for the oldest and youngest to be registered).
  • Service in the name of the person responsible, with the same address as shown on the identification document. (Must be no more than 2 months old. Address must be in Argentina)
  • Cell phone to receive SMS and MAIL, both from minors and adults.
  • Credit or debit card.

Precarious registration, PRESENTIAL ONLY
On the scheduled date, present:

  • Valid passport.
  • Proof of precarious residence.
  • Proof of residence, issued by the police.
  • Cell phone to receive SMS and email.
  • TC (optional).

For foreign citizens, REGISTRATION BY APP
You will be asked:

  • International credit card.
  • Valid passport.
  • Proof of residence in Buenos Aires.
  • Cell phone to receive SMS and email.
Why was my credit card charged when I registered?

The amount charged is to confirm that your credit/debit card is valid. This amount will be refunded to you automatically.

What happens if I forget my password?

If you forget your password, you can recover it through the BA Ecobici by Tembici App, under login > recover password. The password must not be the same as the previous one and must have at least 8 characters, including 1 letter, 1 number, 1 special character (@#$%^& =) and 1 uppercase letter.

What happens if the credit card I signed up for expires?

If your credit/debit card reaches its expiration date, you can edit it in your in-app profile. In the meantime, you will not be able to use the bicycles.

  1. Enter your profile in the APP.
  2. Click on Passes and Payment.
  3. Select “Edit” and add your new card information.

Purchase of plans

What are the current plans?
FREE BASIC

Cycle from Monday to Friday (weekdays) and take up to 4 free trips per day of 30 minutes each.

INTENSIVE

 

1 TRIP
From Monday to Friday, you have a 45-minute trip for $200. You can purchase more than one trip per day.

DAILY
Cycle from Monday to Friday for $1,000 and make 4 trips of up to 60 minutes each. Valid on business days.

A MONTH
Cycle every day of the month for $10,000 and make 4 trips of up to 60 minutes each. The plan renews automatically. But do not worry! You can cancel your subscription at any time.

YEARLY
Cycle every day of the year for $60,000 and make 4 trips of up to 60 minutes each.

 
RECREATIONAL

 

UNIQUE TRIP
Cycle on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Take a ride of up to 30 minutes for $521. You can purchase more than one exclusive ride per day.

DAILY
To be used on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Cycle for $1,708 and make 4 trips of up to 60 minutes each.

WEEKEND
Ride on Saturdays and Sundays and take 4 trips per day of up to 60 minutes each for $2,027.

 
TOURIST

 

SINGLE TOURIST PASS
Take 1 trip of up to 45 minutes for $2,100.
You can purchase more than one trip per day.

DAILY TOURIST
Take unlimited rides of up to 90 minutes each for 24 hours for $15,000 every day.

TOURIST 3 DAYS
Take unlimited rides of up to 120 minutes each for 72 hours for $37,500 every day.

TOURIST 7 DAYS
Take unlimited rides of up to 120 minutes each for 7 days for $50,000 every day.

 

*For all plans: If you exceed your travel time, you will have a 5-minute grace period. After that, you’ll start being charged $31 per minute of excessive usage.

*To return to using the bicycle at the end of any trip, wait 15 minutes.

What happens if I don't use all the trips included in my plan?

Unused trips expire daily.

If I buy a weekend plan and don't use it, can I use it the following weekend?

Plans are not cumulative; They must be used on the same day or weekend that they are paid.

What are the extra fees that may be charged?

If you exceed your travel time, you will have a 5-minute grace period. After that, you’ll start being charged $31 per minute of excessive usage.

Can I use the system if I don't want to buy a plan?

If you are an Argentine resident over 16 years of age, holder of an identification document issued in Argentina or a foreigner with precarious residence, you can use the basic plan, free of charge, from Monday to Friday and make up to 4 trips per day, with a limit of 30 minutes each.

How do I buy a plan?

To purchase our plans you can do so on the Tembici BA Ecobici app. There you will find the available options that best meet your needs. You must enter your profile, choose the category you like most, confirm the type of plan and that’s it! Now you can enjoy cycling around the city!

What are the payment methods?

If you are registered with a credit or debit card, the charge will be generated directly on your card. If you are registered without a credit card or with “open your Macro account” you must make the payment through the payments market, contacting us through our customer service channel of the application.

How do I unsubscribe from a plan?

The only plans that renew automatically are the INTENSIVE MONTHLY and FREE plans, if you choose to cancel them:

  1. You enter your profile into the APP.
  2. Click on Passes and Payment.
  3. And, with the plan active, select “Cancel renewal” and that’s it. You can cancel it at any time.

If your plan is not automatically renewed, you must do so through our support channel.

Are plan renewals automatic?

Only the FREE INTENSIVE MONTHLY plan subscription is automatically renewed. You will receive a notice a few days in advance. If you no longer wish to continue using it, you can cancel it at any time.

System usage

How do I use the system for the first time?

You must first be registered. You can do this in our app. When you are an Ecobici user, you access the available options that best meet your needs. As? You must enter your profile, choose the category you like most, confirm the type of pass and that’s it!

To collect a bicycle you must physically be at the station. After entering the app and selecting the bike pick-up point, you can unlock it with the QR Code, which is located on the bike’s handlebars.

Where are the stations located?

You can see all our stations on the map on the home page of our website.

How can I see bike availability?

When you enter the app, you will be able to see the map indicating how many bikes are available at each station.

Can I borrow my bike or have access to the account?

No. Both the bike and the account are for personal use and non-transferable.

What happens if I do this?

Penalties detailed in the service terms and conditions may apply.

How long does the unlock code last?

The code is valid for 10 (ten) minutes. If time runs out, you can generate another code to pick up a bike at the same station.

Can I see my travel history?

You can view your travel history by entering the application, in the main menu under Travel.

Can I use the bike outside Buenos Aires?

No, bicycles are for exclusive use in Buenos Aires. If you do so, Tembici may impose a penalty in accordance with the terms and conditions.

If I can't find free stations to return my bike, what should I do?

Through the Ecobici app you can see which stations are closest with spaces available to return the bike, in this case the user has a 5-minute extension.

How can I be sure my bike return is correct?

Check that the bike is securely secured by pulling it towards you. You should ALWAYS wait for the green light to flash. If there is a problem with the return, the red light will come on. In this case, it is necessary to anchor it in another available position or at another station. If you can’t, communicate via our chat.

What happens if the chosen bike has problems?

If the bicycle requires repair, you must return it to an available location, at the nearest station, and press the red button.

What do I do if my bike is stolen?

In case of theft, you must file a report within 48 hours. at the nearest police station where the incident occurred. Then you must send it to the following email: denunciabsas@tembici.com. Please remember that your user profile will be temporarily suspended. The sooner you report it, the better!

What should I do in case of a bicycle accident?

In the event of an accident, if no third parties are involved, you can report the situation to the following email: denunciabsas@tembici.com. It must include your personal data and details of what happened, such as: when, how and where the event occurred.

If a third party is involved, you must report it within 48 hours at any police station in Buenos Aires. Remember that you must include your personal data and details of the events that occurred, such as: when, how and where the event occurred and the third party’s data.
